Inhomogeneous states in the two-dimensional linear sigma model at large <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mml:mi>N</mml:mi></mml:math>

In this paper we consider inhomogeneous solutions of two-dimensional linear sigma model in the large $N$ limit. These are similar to ones found recently $C{P}^{N}$ model. The solution exists only for some range coupling constant. We calculate energy as a function parameters and show that it is negative. analyze zero modes soliton argue they can be interpreted rotational excitations. case nonlinear at finite temperature also discussed. free shown change sign critical indicating possible phase transition.
